With the beautiful weather we have been having, has anyone else had the calling?
I'm talking about the calling of Emma. She is whispering in my ear, in my subconscience.
So many great memories. I wish the dang weeds were not such a huge problem. Still, she calls.
PB Common Carp....... 38 lbs
PB Mirror Carp........12 lbs 8 oz
PB SM Buffalo........ 53 lbs
PB Grasser........... 48 lbs 4 oz
PB Blue cat.......... 17 lbs (caught on maize)

Weed line is currently horrendous - checked it out the weekend before last and I think they need about 100,000 more grass carp to help wipe it out

I recently had this discussion with Rick the other day. I hear her calling, but I have to pretend like she's not speaking to me!

i bet its fishible if you drop the leads on the take. that way the fish come to the top. but it would cost you in leads if you got into a few.

Emma hasnt been the same in a few years. It almost seems that the buffs have gotten smart and avoid that area

Ted I would'nt mess with those weeds at emma. I would stick with your new buff spot! What ever happened to that place called decker? I have yet to fish decker and would like to someday.Emma is so hit and miss. We did five straight blankfest last winter while everyone else were hauling elsewhere.If people do get into them at emma there will probably be a pile of fishlips left on the bank.I have not tried the drop off leads though.We went out there in early june and fished what we thought was the most weed free area for a couple of hours and when I snaped 40lb powerpro just reeling in a 3oz method feeder we packed up and never came back.

I'll be going to Emma, I have 2 requests for time off. 4 days weekend at Emma in Oct and November

yesterday i was working in a house on top of a hill that over looks emma from about a mile upstream and i could see the weeds all the way from up there. beautiful, from a distance....
