I am a crappie fisherman trying to learn how to bass fish and the few trips I've taken to Lewisville have been a blast! Never knew what the hype was all about but now I do. My girlfriend's dad and I are going to Ray Roberts Wednesday morning and I was hoping y'all could help me get on a few fish.

I'm planning on putting in at Buck Creek and fishing coves just past the train bridge close to the main lake with Texas Rig craws and worms and maybe some top water lures. I have always fished crappie so this is all very new to me. Any help or further advice would be awesome as I'm risking what little "rep." I have with the crappie guys by posting this. peep

Thanks,
Josh

Lost Creek Cove has been good to me with T-Rigged dark colored soft plastics, and popper type top water baits. Also try a Chatterbait in white or white/chart.

if you don't mind catching short fish, Put in at Jordan and fish Sand Branch cove to the south. There's an island and I would get on the backside ( SE ) and throw a weightless Watermelon or Junebug trick worm ( assuming there's no wind ). With Wind, add a 1/8th or 1/4 oz weight.

I agree..........be careful. 10 to 15 out there........add them togather and you might be close. Supposed to be 25 plus.

Dont worry about the wind in Buck, it is easy to get out of it up there. I've fished buck in 35 to 40 mph winds.
