I have been a Shimano man for many many years. But I've been hearing so many great thinks about the Lew's reels I just couldn't help myself. I went yesterday and bought two of the TS1S 5:4:1, and one of the lighter TP1H 6:4:1. I'll spool them up tomorrow and check them out buy I'll say there is a VERY noticeable weight difference between the two reels. The TS1S is 6.7oz, and the lighter TP1H is /7.4oz. It doesn't sound like much weight difference but when you have one in each hand it is extremely noticeable.

LEW'S REELS
After I get a chance to play with them I report back but they feel very good in my hand and free spool like crazy. I just wanted to give a heads up on what seems to be a pretty nice reel. thumb

I have an original speed spool bb1ng gold series that I love and it is old. I have no doubt the new ones are great too.

I have been a Shimano Curado man for years but after the last revision I found myself not thrilled with them.
I have a couple new Lew's that I am trying out and so far I am happy with them. laugh

Nice reels. I bought my first Lews about 3 months back. It's now my favorite reel. Very comfortable in the hand.

I took them out to the lake yesterday and was pretty happy. The brakes need to be turned completely off and it takes a little time to get them tweaked in. But after you get the settings figured out they can sail a lure better then the Citica's could. So far I'm very happy with the purchase.

Sharp looking reels! I'm going to have to get out with you and try one.

I won a Tournament MG from Marty Stone and it has definitely sold me. Replace my REVO S with it.

I'm happy you pulled the trigger on the Lews reels Shaun, do give us an update in a few months if you can remember. I'll probably get one over the holidays (put it on my Xmas list) LOL

Are you going to make the north/south tournament?

Unfortunately, no, I will be on vacation fishing Rockport area (Redfish Roundup) the week prior to the NS tourney and will be with friends for 6th street Halloween party the weekend of the tourney. I wish HDluvers could had chosen an earlier date but I understand it conflicted with yall's GTG....bummer for me :-(
