Went out this morning about 9:30. Put in at oak point and was going to head towards the old dam to fish for some whites/hybrids... it was way to windy for my little boat. So i found a close by cove with poles coming out of the water... Threw on some yellow and black crappie jigs and first drop in had one on the line. didnt catch a ton but in a short time caught 3 biggins and a largemouth. just had to make something out of nothing. Really fun to catch on a light action mini spinner rod. It was actually only about 6 feet deep.

im sure its a popular spot... not my first choice, but it was out of the wind.
