Please give me your opinions on when I would want to use a crankbait with a wide wobble vs. a tight wobble. I am still new to bass fishing and the information from you guys on the TFF is invaluable!

Tight in the cold wide in hot. But I don't think to much about it anymore. I just throw my favorite crank.

Wide in cold or muddy water, tight in warmer or clear water.
But as has been said, throwing the bait you have confidence in is what I end up doing most of the time.
Can you say Norman deep little N's and DD 22's.

In general, I use a crankbait with a tighter wobble in colder water and a wider wobble in warmer water. Like someone else said, experiment until you figure out what the fish want.

I've always done well with a tighter wobble in cold water like during pre-spawn. Tight wobbling medium divers like a Shad Rap work well early in the year when the water is still cold as does one of the numerous lipless rattling baits.
After the spawn is over I like to throw deepdivers like DD22's and XD's.

I like tight for fishing fast and more wobbly for slower crankin. But in general I like a very tight wobble. Rapala JSR-7s are the best imo.
