MH. To H rod 50lb. Power pro don't set the hook until you feel weight or can't see your bait . Natural reaction is to jerk it takes some practice

What do they say? 3 in the boat out of 10 blow ups and your having a good day?

65lb braid, hooks are fine on the spro, 7'6" rod up to 8'. that will fix your issues i bet DITTO
Also make sure you feel the weight before you set the hook then set it hard!
I suggest you may consider throwing a double hook baited ribbit type bait-- that "bull" ribbit works great- similar to frog but the hook up ratio is better-

Henry David Thoreau said that "Some men fish all their lives without knowing it is really not the fish they are after."
I think that I am approaching this stage, that is to have
the opportunity and joy to go fishing and enjoy God's magnificent creation.

Definitely use braid. 65 pound is best for me. When they blow up wait and count. Thousand one, thousand two. Seems like an eternity but this is what we live for. Some guys simply cannot do this but you have to wait. Heavy action rod is a must. When you do get a hook in em you have to wrestle them out of the pads and those stems are like rope. Your hookup ratio should be 60-70% once you get the right rig and learn to wait on em.

As stated earlier - you have to bend the hooks out on the Spro Frogs. These guys gave you some great advice on the rod to use and to use braid. But even with the right set up you still have to bend the hooks out with the Spro's or you will miss or lose a lot of fish. Do not use flouro line when frogging.

I do this also - it helps!

In memory of my childhood friend Dan Sterling, who taught me at an early age how to catch bream with a hand-line, and who unknowingly hooked me on fishing for life.

Make your hooks on the frog are very sharp also. There are probably more fish missed on the frog than any other technique out there, but it is so cool fishing the frog and watching them blow up on it.
