Check out Hydro-Tec in Nixa Missouri.

They are the best with Yamahas and the only Yamaha factory authorized rebuilder I believe. Great folks to deal with. Tell em Ken from Dallas sent ya..

Around $5900 if you have it done. That's with all filters, pumps and sending the injectors off to be cleaned. Not sure on head only. I would guess around $3600.

$2000.oo is a substaintial delta. Labor will be 8 to 10 hours @$80.00 to $9o.oo per hour to undress and dress with dial in tune time. Fuel injectors must be calibrated and flowed, impellar replaced and don't forget shipping. A 250 opti cost $190.00 to ship. Core value should also be considered, the crank alone if damaged will reduce the value of the core by 40 %. Cores run about $500.00 and sometimes the shipping cost of the core return exceed the value of the core. Also, new or reman? We can do a 250 Merc for about $6ooo.oo +/- $500.00.
