Great rod. You might even look into getting a custom made rod on the Lamiglas blank(MB841E). It could be close to your price range and you will have something much more unique. Did I mention they are fantastic glass rods? If you like glass rods, stay away from the composites or graphite cranking rods- they do not have the sweet, forgiving action of glass.

Give one a try and if your unhappy he will gladly take it back. You won't be!

Yes, you cant beat that deal. Ron really wants our customers to be happy with the rod. Also, it will be the last cranking rod purchase you need to make for the rest of your life!

I'd love to check out a Dobyns. Just always used the Skeet Reese Crankbait rod which is decent, but I'd like to upgrade to a Dobyns rod.

Here's an interesting alternative. Powell Diesel glass crankbait rod. Very well built, extremely lightweight, and basically the same components as their expensive rods. And they are only $70. Here's the catch: No warranty whatsoever. They have an interesting explanation for that posted up on tacklewarehouse. I figured for $70, plus catching it on sale, what the heck? Now it is my favorite rod, and I have plenty of rods in the $150 - 200 range. If I bust it, I'll just buy another.

I've been using a Falcon Lowrider "Cranker" for years.

I'm a huge falcon fan but there is something about the feel of the Lowriders I just don't like.

Just had Austin "txninja on here" at AMAC Rods build me a square bill rod on an MHX blank and it is bad arse! Mine is a sweet custom and he did it for right at $200. Give him a try and build exactly what you want the way you want it.

Go custom.

Why spend that kind of money for a rod that everyone can buy when you can have one custon made for you and your preferences?

Dobyns 705CB Glass rod is an awesome rod for topwater, spinners and cranks. Seriously, you should pick one up and throw with it. There are a few guys on here that will let you demo one if you would like. You won't be sorry.
