I know its an older unit but im a college kid with college money which aint much? Pros and cons. What unit should i look at around 300 bucks. I have a shotgun to trade also.

I run an LCX 25C on the dash and love it. I have the transducer in the hull. It paints a great picture.

Is it easy to use? Had any problems? I have hummingbird right now and am not a fan.

Very good units. Great pictures. The technology is basically the same as the new units today minus the SI. 25 does not have mapping built in like the 28 does. Either buy a Lowrance or Navionics mapping card.

i have the lcx 27 hd love it to death has south maps on it and fork boat lanes great unit

Thats a good price. Are they the same size as an HDS8?
