Went out to West Texas and fished a private pond. The pond was loaded with Longear and some very nice ones at that. I was able to fish from 9am till 1pm and caught a total of 30 very nice Longear. The fish were between 6 and 8 inches in length. I had about 10 that were over 7 inches and one 8 inch fish. The pond was is in super condition due to some recent rains. The water was glass clear. All fish were caught on worms using float techniques. All fish were released to fight again. Catching Longears in West Texas. It just don't get any better! fish

Thanks "Pop1655" for the reply. I was glad to see some healthy fish and some healthy bodies of water in a area that was bone dry last year. thumb

Thanks Curtis for the reply. The water in those spring fed creeks and ponds by far is the clearest water I have ever fished. There must be lots of good minerals in that water that help the fish grow and stay healthy. thumb
