Got a new hds8 gen 2 about 2 months ago and it has been working great. Today the side scan and down scan just stopped working and i didnt change nothing. Its like the screen goes by really slow. on side and down scan. most the time its just stopped and not movingacross screen. The regular sonar works. And my voltage is good. Can anyone help me with this? Should I call lowrance?

I read somewhere in one of the many forums that on your LSS unit you have some LED lights, one is used for operating condition of the unit. Green good!! Red-Bad, Blinking Red- etc. etc. etc.
When the unit shuts off, you may be able to count the red blinking light that will let you know your problem. Sorry dont have the list in front of me. Check BBCs Boards are it may be in this forum.

its blinking green so that means good, it has always blinked green when it worked too.

I have hds 10 with the same issues I just sent it into Lowrance for testing I sent my lss1 and the transducer both in what a pain jest what I want to be doing oninstalling in steed of fishing

i would call Lowrance cs dept.. If i had to guess..I would start with your lss box.

I sure hope I dont have to send it in, It was a pain in the *** pulling wires through the hull.

Does anyone know what I should expect about calling lowrance. Im not sure when im gonna get to call them, Because there hours are mon to friday 8 to 5 and i work 7 to 5:30 lol. Im pretty sure its my LSS1 maybe even the transducer. Does lowrance make you send the whole kit to them or just send them the LSS1 and transducer?

Got ahold of them, they are sending me a new transducer, should be here in 7 to 10 days.
