What's the bite been like out there recently? Are they hitting slabs or topwaters? Any suggestions for areas to go? I'm planning on going out in the morning to run my boat, but I thought I might want to wet a line or 2 if I'm going to go to the trouble to get the boat out.

Hit or miss lately. Most days I can find a school or two or three if I have patience. I was fishing saturday and found two schools early. One lasted about 20 minutes, the other about an hr. Most were borderline keepers. I was fishing a lead tailspinner and my buddy was fishing a topwater popper and he was catching more than me.

I've also had sparse luck recently. Two weeks ago the topwater action was on fire, but lately it's been mostly a slab bite.
