Staying at Allegro north this weekend. Taking a couple of bass setups. Just looking to catch a few with the kids, edible fish would be nice. I am a bass fishermen, so I have good equipment for trout and reds. The pier looks good where we are staying. Any tips are greatly appreciated. Baits, artificals, techniques, etc. Thank you in advance for the help.

Trout should be good around the lights right now. A few weeks back there were a couple of good reports. Fulton pier would be a good choice, if the pier where you are staying doesn't pan out. There is always Copano causeway as well.
Soft plastics on 1/8 oz jig heads. Assasins, Gulp, DOA's... Glow should be a good color, and something with chart tail. Work the edge of the lights.
