Hello, Im very new to fishing and don't really know anything about it, but searching this forums for places to fish in the Bridgeport Lake and didn't really see any places other than a couple of post. I don't have much fishing gear and all I know is that I like to eat fish. specially when caught fresh. Can anyone help me with some spots?

Well, I live in Chico, just a couple miles down the road from lake Bridgeport, and I fish it fairly often and I know some pretty good spots. What kind of fish are you looking for? Usually when I go out there, I usually fish for sandbass. I went out there the other day and the sand bass were hitting good at rattlesnake island by runaway bay, and we caught about 50 or so in a few hours.

Thank you for your response. Really anything that I could bring home would do. Like I said I am really new to fishing. Most people told me that you would never go wrong with live bait. Again thanks for your info. @ iamquockie... What made you say that?

For when we go sandbass fishing, we usually use swimbaits, spoons, or slabs. Sometimes, there is also good crappie fishing under the bridge at runaway bay also.

It's just a smart Ace comment that is commonly used here...just a joke..
On a more serious note the bridges would be good right now.
