Went to Arrowhead for the first time in April. Lake was muddy and about 8 low, but caught some nice size crappie on a black/chartreuse tube jig. Two guys with me started with minnows, but switched over to the jig because it seemed better than minnows.
If we concentrated on the really important stuff in life,
there'd be a shortage of fishing poles

Crappie season has been funny at arrowhead this year..they're deeper than they should have been in April. They'll come in shallow in a foot or less and bite like demons then move back out. I'd stick to CC or somewhere closer to the metro
I don't really know what to type here.

Pulled out 6 crappie 2 with eggs yErsterday and 14 this morni g more then half had eggs. jigs 18-24" deep.
