Alright everyone I'm a little bit out of my league here so any help would be much appreciated. I live in abilene and normally fish Fort Phantom but I'm looking to widen my horizon and try lake Leon tomorrow evening. cant decide between the river and lake.

NEED ADVISE ON

(*) location (*) I will be bank fishing
bait (I was planning on just using shad)
Depth

I have rods anywhere from light spin caster to heave abu's so just let me know my normal set up is 30lbs catmax braid with a 3 inch pyramid weight behind a swivel to keep it from sliding to the hook and then a 12 inch leader line with a 5/0 team catfish double action circle hook....

thanks in advance

There is not much areas at Hubbard Creek for fishing from the bank. There is the campgrounds on the north side of the lake. Turn north at Wal Mart and follow the road around the lake, There is some access at each end of the big bridge and there is a spot at "Peeler's Pier". To get there, if your coming from Albany, watch for a sign pointing north off of Hwy 180, saying public boat ramp. It will be about 6-8 miles before you get to Breckenridge. If you need additional help to find it, stop in at Brushy Creek bait shop, on the hill to your left before you get to the big bridge. Jason will help you find the pier area. It is on the creek. A lot of people fish there.

A bad day fishing is better than a good day doing anything else.
