 26+, 24+, and 20+ weighed in on Belton during Annual Sheriff's Tourney

My brother and I weighed in our biggest sack on Belton ever on Saturday. 26 1/2 lbs I think. Our big one was 7.80 and we didn't get big fish, there was a 9 something weighed in. There was also a 24 1/2 and a 20 lb bag weighed in. Needless to say, they are biting!  I got married at 5:00 the same day, so we cut our day short at 2:00 and weighed in early which was almost a mistake, but the good Lord smiled on us and we got away with that one. Fun, fun day of fishing on Belton.

Congrats on both regards! That is a lot of "keepers" that day.
For some reason they were NOT biting in east texas this weekend.

Jarod, are you talking about the fish at Rayburn or the fauna at "The Stump"? lol... you need to come and get you some of Belton if you get a chance.
Bring jigs... lots and lots of jigs.

Very Nice! What did you catch them on? What kind of structure? I am going to be fishing Belton this Saturday and have only fished that lake once before, any tips?

yes, its about to start i hope. so far just small ones on it. I think its taking longer for them to find the pads or something, cause the water was so low last year, i dont know they are eating a dd a lot better

That's a great sack for belton nowadays ,what part of the lake main, middle or upper?
