Thanks for the pic's and the reminder as to why the "use fees" and costs to running our parks are so much. What does it take to have people realize how much trash they leave behind?

Thats for dang sure! Belton is my home lake since I'm born and raised in Temple,Tx. I've been away for going on 7yrs now since I joined the Air Force in 05 but I always try to come down as much as possible to visit family and friends. Over the last couple of years I have really gotten into bass fishing or fishing for whites and hybrids and Belton & Still House has been the lakes that beat me all the time lol, I might get lucky and get 2-4 small bass but thats it. Any suggestions as far as bait for whites/hybrids and locations? How deep do the bass normally hold there? Any help would be great thanks

I hope they did something about a couple of boats in the cove at Sparta KEEPING undersized hybrids. We threw them back unharmed but I saw them catch and keep several undersized ones.

I thought i would share a few Screenshots I took Sunday when Tommy and i were Slaying the Hybrids and whites on Belton.

In the pic below you can see the Hybrids and whites stacked up feeding. At one point we had 4 fish on! On 4 different rods!
If you look close you can see the different size fish.. Hybrids vs Whites.

And another

Here you see a full screen image of Hybrids and whites all over the place!

Here is a pic of two of the hybrids we kept.

Any questions?

Saw FoolsForFishing out and a few other boats I recognized from here.

Good Morning Belton Bunch.. banana.. It's GREAT to be alive and I'll be able to get back to fishing in another ten days or so. The AICD Pacemaker installation went as well as can be expected. The Dr said it should take an hour and four hours later I was taken to recovery. Later that evening it was put to it's first test when my heart decided to act silly.

As you can see, I am STILL here on the earth, lol, and recovering slowly. Sore, bruised and VERY tender but anxious to get back out on the lake and get my line wet.

Thank you one and all for your kind thoughts and prayers. Obviously they worked grin

And Thank you for posting here once again.... Now someone please tell me WHERE to catch some shad once I am able to throw a net again (@ 6 more weeks).

Happy fish everyone.

Went to Belton for the first time since last summer on Saturday. We could not find the shad or the fish. I guess the front that blew in on Friday screwed us up. But we are thinking about going back later this week. Hopefully we can find the shad.
