Has anyone done a day trip on the Blano? I have some family in the area and was thinking about doing it next time I go to see them. I have heard there is some awesome smallmouth and smallmouth/guadalupe hybrid fishing there. Where do you put in/take out for a day trip? Thanks.

Call Al at our Austin store (512-473-2644). He recently did a trip from Uhland Road bridge in San Marcos to the San Marcos River Retreat. It's about 6 miles, I'm not sure how long it took him. The cool part is that it's about 3 miles upstream from the confluence with the San Marcos River, so the fish have had an opportunity to move upstream. Some parts of the Blanco have been bone dry for two years, so fishing may be suspect in some places.
Our San Marcos location does shuttles and has detailed maps of the San Marcos River and that particular stretch of the Blanco.
Free test drives, everyday!

Thanks for the help. I definitly be giving him a call. Maybe I'll just try the San Marcos instead. I have heard it's great as well.
