This a variation of the double Heiliger Knot, aka The Double San Diego Clinch Knot. The difference is that the double Heiliger Knot has the tag loop going in the loop between the hook eye and the wraps before going through the loop above the wraps. TFP

Regular ol San Diego Jam knot ahs been working wonders for me. I bend more hooks than I have break offs now! In fact I havent broke off yet so Ill be sticking with this one for awhile. Easy to tie too once you get the hang of it!

I have used trilene knot on Berkley Flourocarbon 17lb test. However, I check it often, it has a tendencey to slip.
Palomar seems to work best for me. I have not tried a San Diego jam.

Stephen Pineau has a YouTube video of virtually the same knot as Swaw Grigsby has , but does it just a little different, I have been using it on everything for over a year and have yet to have a failure with it, and thats also using the nanofil (lots of folks say knots break on it) on some spinning rigs this year that I have caught a ton of bass on so far this spring.

I use the reverse clinch, but pass the line through the hook twice before forming the loop, wrapping the line 4-6 times around the standing line, before putting the tag end through the loop at the top of the knot.

I use a variation of the loop knot on everything i tie. never lost a fly or any other lure doing it like that.

Still looking for the one! Tried palomar, improved trilene, San Diego jam, Eugene Bend, fishin' fool many others and all came up short. Am on Aaron Martin's double uni knot currently and have had decent success so maybe this is the one. Need one without so many tag ends catching grass tho. I am just about a c hair away from going back to mono cause break offs cost me a ton of money this year.

Clinch or double clinch for flouro. Trileene will burn flouro on line over 10lb it's fine for lighter line.
