Hwy 16 (below PK dam) to FM 4 Dark Valley Bridge (Rochelles). 20 miles. Very scenic. Rochelles will do a shuttle for you so your vehicle will be waiting at the take out. Sure makes it easy.

Rochelles has a website. It boils down to about $100 for a 2 day trip. We will be there in may as well. As long as i can talk the wife into it

Red Bluff campground is near the dam, and it is free. It is also about a mile from the put in. Restrooms only. I like to overnight there to make an early start when paddling down river to Rochells. Will look for your dates might be fun!

Red Bluff campground is located on a bluff overlooking the river, at the Morris-Shepard dam. Red Bluff Road passes the fish hatchery, and winds up the bluff, very close to the dam itself. Shuttle arrangements can be made at Rochells. Three days on the river gives you plenty of time to fish, several rest breaks, and enjoy this scenic stretch of the Brazos, without paddling nonstop all day long.

Dang I would love to make a trip down the Brazos!!! I hope my schedule clears up soon so I can go fishing.
