The flyers for this tournament are out around Lake Whitney and Granbury area. Check out Fun n sun Hurst and Granbury. You can also go to the web site www.burlesonbassclub.org and print a copy of the entry form. Hope to see you there.

I dont know where all this information about a "fish kill" or "golden algea" is coming from but you people are WRONG. i live on the lake and recently did very good in a bud light tournament and did not hear one word of any dead fish ANYWHERE!! Rumors like this hurt small company's business among others so get your facts straight before poping off at the computer.

I live within walking distance of the lake and I can 100% confirm a fish kill. I check on it daily in little rocky creek and soldiers bluff. The reason you dont see fish alot of times is because the birds come and pick them off as quick as they die.

I wouldnt want to make this up because I dont travel around and fish many more lakes.

Im not trying to discourage anyone from coming here, but I think its fair others know what is going on.

Notice the report said "Mostly NON-GAME", I was out there this weekend and did not see anything much other than shad and not much of that as well. Big bass are still in this lake and will need to eat. We all will be fishing the same water, but I bet some will bring in heavy stringers!

The lake is full and the gates are open so any golden algae that is left should flush on through.

My three biggest today went about 9 maybe 9 1/2 lbs. I let one get off that would have pushed 6. They don't call me lunker loser for nothing. A windy S.O.B. out there today. Throw big baits is all I can say.

I also live on Whitney and there was a kill this year but as far as bad I have to disagree it has been nothing like the past! I fished around plowmans and the mouth of the Nolan and didn't see a dead fish one today. See ya Sunday

Two questions!

1.) when is the last day you can register? Can you sign up at the ramp morning of?

2.) what is the tournament hours?

I remember helping work the weigh in two years ago this month.Ive never seen so many big fish all at one time and so many of them.I thought we would never get through. There were lots of heavy sacks with lots of 7 and 8s a few 9s.I will try to come play.Fish should be trying to spawn in the creeks by now esp. with all the water coming in.

I found out the answers to my questions.

1.) you can sign up at the ramp starting at 5:00 am the morning of.

Start time is at 6:00 am and go till 3:00

it is a individual tournament, but you can have more than one person in the boat as long as you are both paid and signed up.
