I may have a chance to hit the Nolan in the next couple of days for sandbass...does anyone have any suggestions where to get out and start fishing? I've not really fished it before...

Should be a place south of Blum on FM933. I think it's called Adair Springs Park?

You might want to look into the Golden Algae reports before you go.

Ya, I may try to get out there tomorrow afternoon...thanks for the info. As far as the golden algae goes, I feel like that's pretty much a give considering I feel like I hear something about it every year. Sort of ridiculous. Does anyone know why?

Fish were in there thick as thieves over spring break caught limits quickly several times. They had slowed a bit on saturday as the water levels from the lake rose and backed up into the creeks slowing the flow a bit. But still saw many fish caught especially on minnows. Prior to that we caught them all on the usual stuff. My favorite is what we call a firecracker. Small clear 1.5"tube jig with red, silver, and, blue metal flake in it on a very light 32nd oz. jig head. Some of the stores call them clear multisparkle. Barlows, Cabelas etc. Any thing heavier sank too fast, they wanted light and small. Basically a ghost minnow imitation. This much water may move them all the way into downtown blum and the other bridge. As the lake rises the creeks back up and slow down.
