Hey guys. Just celebrated my 20th birthday today and received quite a few Academy gift cards! (sweet) So I want to invest in a new spinning rod for bank fishing. I would totally just use the search tool if it was up, but it's not so I wanted to know if any of y'all had any advice on what to look at. Thanks a ton!

Bank fishing for LMB mostly. Would like to stay under $50 but could go to $75 if really necessary.

Falcon Originals are on sale right now at academy in your price range. You should be good to go with a 7' MH

Wait for it..... wait for it.....

The Academy Rod Riot, that is. Then buy two rods to fit different situations. Falcon, All Star and Castaway are all good brands. I suspect the new Academy H2O rod is also a good value. Bass Pro had their $50 IM7 rod on sale for $29 last week so I picked on up - not sure if it's still on sale.

+1. But if you are going spinning I would recommend a medium instead of a medium heavy.

You have to decide which is more important.
