No custom apps here. I just use the thing that comes on my phone. It's weird how it even worked out on the devils where there was no cell signal. I had a map in my devils river guide book to look at and between the two I knew exactly where I was

Most of those apps, work from GPS signals. So, no phone reception is necessary for them to work.

If it's an overnighter, I always print out on 8x11, and the driver gets the same map (and float plan).

I downloaded the Trimble app earlier today. It seems really cool for a free app. I just had it track me when I went to lunch, and it seems to work great.

I remember that report from that trip. You were crazy trying to float it in that over loaded huge barge.
