I have Falcons, All Stars and Dobyns that's handle my abuse 95. We had 4 of them break at Falcon last year. Oh I forgot a Cara broke also all but 1 was on fish. One veritas snapped when I set it on the deck. All rods break, I just don't like them. That's my experience with them. I love the reels. I'm sure there are more folks that like them than not.

I have several Vedettas and i like everyone. I plan on adding more to my collection. At this point i have 4 that i use for flippin T-rig and moving baits. I like the feel of them and the sensitivity that they have. Good money spent on these rods for sure. thumb

with enough abuse anything will break, if you are breaking 5 rods a year ypu might be inadvertently stepping on them of damaging them somehow in your rod locker etc,

i've broken rods before from use, but not in numbers like that, and not when they were new, unless i pulled some boneheaded move and slammed it in the rodlocker lid the weekbefore and made a weekspot or something of that nature.

I use one of my veritas alot, since i got it it's one of my rods that see's the most use and i haven't had a single issue with it.

I've got rods all across the spectrum from custom built all the way down to the allstar classic series and for what it costs in my opinion the veritas is worth the money for sure, if i liked more of their length/weight combinations on their line-up i'd have more.

maybe it's just been bad luck that the blanks you had were beat-up on the eisles at wherever you bought them before , but if not i would start trying t pay attention to how you were breaking those rods, it just doesn't add up for me, and i don't patty cake my stuff either, i don't care about it in any emotional sense or have any brand loyalty whatso ever.

they are just tools for me that i use to catch fish, it's why I have so many different brand rods, i find the one i like, for a specific purpose and use it.

Yeah I'm not loyal to one brand or the other. These 4 rods that broke were not all mine just to clarify. I should have said that up front. I have 1 Vertas. My cousin has 1 veritas and 2 vendettas. My other buddy has a partner and he snapped 2 of them in front of us at Falcon on hooksets. The Falcon was a Bucco not a Cara and it to broke on a hook set. All these rods were not in my boat, ever. The only one that broke in my boat was my cousins veritas. I set it down I was holding it in the middle of the rod he was unhooking a fish, I had a bite I handed him the rod he grabbed the butt and the tip about a 1' broke off. That was 3 veritas in 1 trip that were wasted.

I dislike the feel of the rod I guess because after seeing all this carnage It makes you uneasy. I feel like I could snap the veritas easily. I have a Falcon Bucco that I feel the same way about. I'm not a big fan of that rod either. I've got Falcon's that are 17 years old and other than guides cracking they have never let me down. If you like them and they work for you that's all that matters. I should have just said I'm disappointed in their durability and left it at that and saved my self from having to type a novel.

Just got a Team Diawa 7' MH for $75. One review compared it to the Veritas and it's $25 cheaper. Used it today for the first time and it seems fine to me. I think I'll like it better with a different reel on it.

I was gonna buy the white one the other day. On my way to check out the fishing manager at bass pro said "hey do you like those?" I told him it would be my first. He said "do what you want but that is our #1 returned rod, they break really easy." I ended up just buying another duckett.

I have 3 of the Vendettas, looking to get a 7-3MH when I get some change. I think for an 80-90$ rod they are nice. I have caught a ton of fish on them and no problems. I have a 6-9 MH, 7M, and 7MH. The 6-9mh is a good all around tx rig, buzzbait, finesse jig rod, the 7M is a good fluke rod, and the 7mh I use for light C rigs, tx rigs, swim jigs etc.

i prefer the vendettas over the viritas because i like a soft tip with the backbone to wrench them in. i like the veritas for heavy baits or flipping never in 2 years never had one of 4 vendettas break have 4 veritas for over a year and never had one break yet.

I had a Vendetta that broke on my 2nd trip after just normal use. It was very sensitive for the money, but obviously breakage isn't an isolated issue with these rods and I moved on to the Dobyns after that and haven't looked back. I couldn't recommend either, but I'd buy a Veritas if I had to pick one. I kinda like the white look.

Also, the reel seat screw-down piece is machined aluminum on both, which is a terrible design. It comes loose very easily. I think they skipped the testing step during the rod design phase.

I like and fish with the vendetta's. Been fishing with them for 3 years and had one break on a hook set but bought it from Academy and returned it no problem. Take your reel with you when you buy and try it on the rod first because sometimes they fit alittle loose, I tried my reel on three rods till I found one that tighten down enough that the reel wouldn't move around. good luck.

I have one of each and have had no issues. Been using the veritas for over a year and the vendetta for about 5 months. I wouldnt say I prefer one over the other, I like both of them. I guess since the vendetta is cheaper I would go with it. Good rods, but as you can see, I hear alot of horror stories about them. Guess I got luck with mine.

I have both and I like the veritas better, I use it for jigging and carolina rigging. Only thing I dont like about the vendetta is what he said the butt kinda grabs your shirt and can get annoying. But I guess it depends on the person on how they use their rod. I want to get one more veritas.
