If the lake fills back up enough, and you can get into the river again, will it be as good as it was before? A few friends of mine said they walked and rode 4 wheelers up there and the water was dried up in most of it except for some pockets. Most of the fish had either died, or birds got them. In years past it could get replenished with fish and water from Lavon. That is one reason I think it was able to stay so good with so much pressure and fish taken out. From what I heard now though they won't open the gates because of the Zebra muscles in Lavon. So my buddy was telling me its over for the river for a while. Just wondering what info or thoughts anyone else has.

The only fish that survived are the flatheads and guppy minnows

As soon as the lake fills the fish will go home. and if lavon gets enough water in it they will open the gates

I don't think many of our customers are bass fisherman. I did take some water dogs up there last march. Figured not many people had tried them on the lake especially up there. I caught about 6 grinnel and 1 bass. The freaking grinnel were jumping on them like crack!! I finally just gave up and left.

How can they not let the water out of Lavon? If it gets full, they have no choice.
