Fish on a weekday.

If you know the lake well, the fish are hugging the bottom and may not be obvious on the graph. Fish your favorite spot anyway and set the hook when the line twitches or feels different.

Do not cast and retrieve when in timber. I observed several people doing this when I was out on Tuesday. Well, go ahead and do it if you have plenty baits! Drop straight down to the bottom.

The fish are still there when the birds leave. I noticed several boats blast off chasing the birds. It was not long before they were back. Several of us regulars stayed and continued catching.

Large lures will catch small fish (big ones too).

Another sunset.

My kind of fisherman, that DTA! Always more impressed by watching the sun set than killing myself to get up early enough to watch it rise!

Great tips, Don, and the same applies for Hubbard too. But I like your last tip the best and you even capture a pic to proove it hehehe! Caught plenty of yellows yesterday too.

sooner or later you have to reel up! in the Trees I have lost some Toads this week in the trees, I would recommend highly no umbrella rigs in the trees I know Super Duck wouldnt mind it!
I was entertained by some alabama rig fisherman this week trying in in the timber! Hybrids like trees and structure like all other fish! Have fun!

It is very frustrating fishing in the trees!

Don? That is not a slab on the end of your line, that is rare to see you without a slab! Good report though!

Patience , wisdom recovered from previous yrs. of experience and good "horse" sense. Find an angler like DTA shadow him as if ur life depends on it and pass it on.
