Hey guys,
My friend moved out there from Ohio to the Tyler area. He fishes ALOT but not really into bass fishing. I am going to be driving out there to catch some big ol' texas size bass and was looking for advice. He said he only lives 45 minutes from lake fork, and he said march is the best time to bass fish that lake for the spawn. Any advice on when to go, types of baits anything that could help would be great.
Thanks

Based on all the Southerner's that have come up to Texas, looks like you could use a few more Yankees!

Get ready to jump from deck to deck. A lot of fun though. Always that chance of stickin' a biggun.

Get a guide or maybe a couple of different ones and stay on Fork all the time you can fish. If your headed here, you might as well fish the best lake in North Texas.

There are some other great surrounding lakes, but if it were me I would fish Fork only..

A guide is out of the question just due to budget. I'm laid off right now and staying with my friend in Tyler when i come so I will only have fuel and food as an expense. I'll probably pull my little boat out there. 17.5' bass tracker with a 60hp. I figured it would be ok on that lake?
