Saw a guy who used to work at BPS in Grapevine, catch a DD about 8 years ago.

It came from the last cove on the left as your are going to the Highway bridge, the cove with a big tree/stump in it.

I was at Monticello yesterday and fishing sucked for me and everyone else I talked to at the ramp... Just sayin...

Hint to the wise: When I catch my first DD I'm going to photoshop and use Vegas Strip as the background so I dont get chopped up on the forum. I'll just say caught her at Circus Circus..Nice Toad anywho!!

Why not take a pic of the fish where ya caught it out on the lake if you're going to release it anyway???

BTW, Over the last 10 years I have personally weighed 3 fish for guys out on the lake that SWORE they had one "BETWEEN 10-12 POUNDS!!!"

The largest one so far 8.12.... The other two were seven pounders.... Sorry to bust your bubble but its been a looooong time since a LEGIT 10+ has been landed from Monty.

If Clint Wright said he caught one over Ten I would take that to the bank.

In the future....for the good of the fish. If you are by yourself politely ease over to another boat and have them take your picture! There's plenty of people at those bridges that would be happy to take pics! And it'll help those big fish too! Especially when they are likely setting up to spawn. That or just say u took it home, people might not agree about that, but who cares, its legal. Things to think about if you are going to post on here! Good fish.

Congrats on a great Monticello bruiser.

I caught one on Monti that may have been over 10 pounds. It never saw a camera and was released within a minute. At the time it was a big fish for me but just another of the many big fish on that lake. That was in the 80's.

What was the name of the firefighter that was famous for his marathon fishing on Monti? He was hispanic and lived in S Ft Worth or Benbrook if I remember right.

This has been very comical for me... I like all the could have, would have , should have talk. Oh yeah, and this fish was caught on Dec.19 at 3pm. Caught three fish that day and never fished above the highway bridge. Friends of mine talked me into posting it and I wished I hadn't. My first ever pic post and my feelings are so hurt. For all of u that don't believe it I hate that for u!!! For those that do there is at least one ten swimming around in there!!!! My buddies told me a blind hog found an acorn.. I'd rather be lucky than good!!!! Lol
