pleasure island is good. flounder on the causeway. also, village creek is just north of beaumont. it's good freshwater. there's also canoe and kayak rentals. sabine lake is where it's at for salt water, and thats pleasure island, sabine pass, bridge city/orange (north end of the lake). the neches river and sabine river break from the lake at bridge city/orange area. there's plenty of bayous too around here. if you need directions anywhere pm me. or email trbrmc@hotmail.com

Pleasure Island or Sabine pass are good. Pleasure Island you can fish the revetment walls and the pass at the end of the Island. People say the north revetment wall is better, but I always seem to do better down south. I usually just drive down the island until I see bait fish moving along the rocks. Sabine pass, you can fish all along the pass down, keith lake, to the jetty. I like taking my boys down by the jetty and fishing the area right before you reach the jetty. I have heard people are having luck fishing the ship channel on the west side of Pleasure Island. Hope this helps, I have not been out there since this summer. I have been fishing Trinity Bay. Welcome to South East Texas and I hope you like dirty water.

Umphrey Pier on the south end of Pleasure Island is a popular spot, as well as the north and south walls... basically any wall you can find to fish off of, you're going to catch fish. Keith Lake Pass is a good spot, always people out there. Sabine Pass Battleground is good. The Neches River is Beaumont is brackish; a friend of mine that works downtown was out behind the Entergy building throwing a buzzbait before work one morning and caught a largemouth, a redfish, and a speck, all in about 5 minutes. I'm headed to fish high tide at Keith Lake Pass tomorrow with my brother; we're going to put in at the pass and kayak up to Keith Lake. I spent a couple of days out there around Thanksgiving catching flounder.

Gonna be back in the area in a couple weeks and have fished that pass a few times but never really saw alot of people catching fish?
