The sister & brother-in -law have rented a beachouse on west Galveston. They invited me down for the weekend and I was thinking about taking the kayaks. Thought the b-i-l & I might try to fish Christmas Bay. I haven't fished salwater since about forever, and I was just wondering if anything might be happening there.

I prefer flyfishing in fresh water, but I have not tried flinging a fly in saltwater yet. May give it a shot.

Any suggestions how & where would be greatly appreciated.

OSHA tries to make the jobsite "idiot proof" then the employers go and hire the cheapest idiots they can find to prove OSHA wrong.

Let's Go (Capt Scott Null) has been on reds in the marshes around Galveston. It's in his skiff and I don't know the exact locations, but Christmas Bay has a lot of great options for sightcasting to reds in marshes.

Also, great OSHA joke.

I caught a flounder down there a week ago on some shrimp in the boat channel. I was cheating and had it on a hook and was pitchin it with my fly rod.
