Has anyone ever fished with Captain Scott Sullivan or Captain Trey Pique? Looking at a trip with one or both next year.

Had a great trip with Captain Eddie a couple years ago.

Have fished with Eddie about 9-10 times and he works hard to put you on fish.

I've heard good things about Scott Sullivan. He posts a lot of reports on other forums...Google his name with "venice" and you'll find 'em.

Ditto on Eddie. I've fished with Eddie six times and never been disappointed.

Hey Joe and Brian,

Have you ever flown into New Orleans and get a rental or drive in to Venice? I've been looking at scheduling a trip with Capt Eddie. SW Air flys in N.O. Have you ever packed a cooler full of fish and sent it on the return flight from a trip?
Just looking at options to avoid the long drive.

Thanks in advance,
Mike

You will have to Vac Pack and flash freeze your catch and you cant take Ice except for the gel packs. We left a cooler full of snapper in Houston once due to SW not taking un bagged fresh fish and Ice on their flights. I would be sure to check with the airlines new regulations on fish prior to taking the trip.

+1 to the above and if you can get waxed/insulated fishboxes to ship your catch home in, the airlines (and TSA!) will give you far less grief.

The store there will ship your catch overnight if need be. It's not cheap but it is an option. I usually buy dry ice in New Orleans and pack it around my catch. Last time I was able to stop and fish an extra day on the Texas coast on my way home. Tuna stayed very cold or frozen.

I fish on a 14 ft piece of plastic.

Thanks for the feedback.
Looks like 1 day with Capt Eddie, one day bay fishing. Any recommendations on a Capt for Bay fishing?

Thanks!
