Weighed 3 over 9 lbs. Lost two we saw that were bigger than those. Lots of 7s and 8s. My buddy broke 2 heavy weight rods trying to keep em out of the heavy cover. Our best 5 on Sunday was between 41 and 42 lbs. Have lots of pics but don't know how to post em.

Go to Photobuck set up a free account. Down load your pics to PB. then click on the bottom URL box there will be 4 of them. Use the bottom one copy then paste it to your post here on the forum. Skip a space between each Paste. You may want to down size the pics on PB. to around 400 X 600 which is medium size.

G Loomis and Falcon. Both were heavies. I'm astonished I didn't break mine. Regular heavy spines aren't heavy enough. You have to get them to the top and keep them there or they will break you off in the timber. We had 6-8 break offs per day and I have no idea what size they were other than big. I was using 65 lb Power Pro braid with 25 lb leader

what model Loomis? I quit using Loomis after my first trip down there. They do however make a few that can handle the conditions out there.

Don't know what model. He fished the FLW Tour for several years and said he won those rods there. He is having a rod hand built especially for Falcon with a super heavy spine and a lighter tip for better feel. I'm gonna try his before I order one.

What kind of pattern were you on? Points, flipping, any particular depth?
