I've always wandered why people buy safes, that can just be picked up... Mine is a fire safe. It's guaranteed to protect the contents for 120 minutes. They found some of the shuttle that disintegrated over East Texas in lake Nacogdoches recently. Are you serious?? im 10 min from lake nac, i need to go out there and just walk along the shoreline

And the shuttle piece they found was almost as big as a 55 gallon barrel and on totally dry land. (It had been submerged)

I was crappie fishing last year in Ray Hubbard and found a very heavy suitcase looking bag. It had a new bullet proof vest in it. It was not marked but had a piece of paper referring DPS so I called Austin DPS and told them I had it. They said that the officers had to supply their own vests but that they had not heard of one going missing.
I called around for a week and did eventually find the story about a DPS car being stolen during and accident investigation in Rockwall. For some reason, the thieves stopped on the 66 bridge and chucked it in the lake. Seems as though a riot gun went missing also. I finally found a local officer that said he would send someone after it.
They came to my house and picked it up and I don't remember ever being treat so rudely when the guy picked it up. Not even a thank you. That thing was full of water, heavy, very hard to retrieve and bring back in a kayak too.

I asked Rockwall and Dallas Police about the safe when I found it and neither wanted to have anything to do with it.

I found a small safe that was floating on Lake Worth a couple of years ago. Nothing in it.
