Anybody got one? I am thinking about getting one and just wondering if anyone has one and loves/hates it.
(Oh and please don't tell me its not as good as your $400 baitcaster/automatic ball massager; I know that)

From what I understand, the BCX is made in China, and not nearly as good as the Swedish made Abus. I know the catfish guys have nothing good to say about them. Hope this helps.

Look in the catfish section their is a multi page post on how bad these reel are!
One you build and fish with your own hand built custom rod you will fish with nothing else!

I have both china and swiss,I am a life time Garcia guy and the BCX almost made me give them up. Do not waste your money, spend a few more bucks and get a swiss one.

bcx are cheap imitations and will not stand up to real fishing. great for the twice a year fisherman

What about the MAX line? like the black max or silver max?

Most of the garcia max line are made in china.
If I was buying a reel it would be Swedish, American, Japanize or Korean made.
I like Ardent and the Garcia c3 reels personally.
One you build and fish with your own hand built custom rod you will fish with nothing else!
