How and where are you going to use it? Are you taking it on a boat, in a vehicle to bank fish along a ship channel, to the surf? Portability will best determine how large and heavy a generator you can take. Once you establish that, the lights are sized to the output of your generator. The more light the better. As for generators, I like the new inverter type like the EU generators Honda sells. They are much quieter than the cheaper ones on the market. Go to any Nascar race and you will see a thousand of them in the RV parking areas.

1000 watt cannister lights are most popular at rollover.many have dual lights on stands giving them 2 1000 watt lights at the same time.Stay away from flood lights. All bulbs should be very narrow spot 1000 watt.A local man puts the bulbs in a plywood box that we call box lights that also work extremely well. The advantage of the box lights is the ambient light they allow surrounding the spot.I prefer the box light. He sells them out of his truck at rollover for 100 bucks.I know from experience that the bulbs are 40 to 50 bucks so it is a real deal.

Yeah....ummm..Honda's are nice....if you want to spend ALOT of extra cash. You can buy just AS nice and cheaper generators at SAMS or Ebay. And like Skifboat said, which I can vouch also, get a nice set up at cheaplights.com. They are a good with setting you up with respose too when it comes by mail and delivery.

Go to cheaplights.com and click on 121:PAR46,56,64Cans on the left side of the screen. The light packages are the 121-Fishpack and you can get a 1 or 2 light setup
