I checked the ramp at LPM, ramp is not usable. A cattle guard was layed at the end of one ramp, the other side sacks of cement were placed at the end of the ramp but its not solid.
Bowfish..
If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

I agree bowfish, at least now we have a few that has drove by and seen first hand. If you care about your boat at all? Don't use the ramps.

Hears the repair made to the one ramp. Appears they need to do something else. Hear is the other ramp. Sorry for the bad pic, I took it with cell phone, and does not really show the ramp, just the drop off.

I went down Saturday evening with my son and checked out the ramp repair at the resort and I wouldn't use it. Just don't look safe to me.

Seriously. If you consider that repaired you might as well have used some Duct Tape and Chicken wire on it too... On the bright side I imagine one could have had at least a 12 pack while "repairing" it...

LOL, I,m thinking a bottle of Patron! What really gets me is the place could be a one of the best places to enjoy a trip, nice rooms, great store, good eats, baits of all kind, boat storage, gas on the water. Some work on the ramps and parking lot and were talking about a 1st class resort.

Lance, I believe it will be good to 6ft. I launched last saturday. When I backed in to unload the boat I checked with the handle of my net, I still had about four to five feet of ramp from my front axle. We used the small ramp.

How do you repair a ramp like that? If you don't want to fix it properly then close it down till the lake comes back up. I wouldn't launch any boat there.

I know it does cost money to fix a ramp but....this would be the perfect time. Wish the would change the position to the ramp that's over on FM 344 at Lake Palestine Marine now that Lake's so low.

Question for Neches R.A. if there are no usable ramps left on the lake in a few weeks, how will TP&W launch their boats in the event of a fish kill, heat stroke, or accident by residents that can still launch from their boat houses ?

Launching does not seem to be the problem. Getting your trailer and boat back out is another issue.

curly, you're right.
i drove by this morning just to see, and dang is it bad. there was an ol' boy out there that told me he repaired one side last week (see prior pics) and that he was repairing the other side this week. he insisted it was prefectly ok to launce. i didn't want to be rude so i kept my mouth shut but was thinking i wouldn't launch an inner-tube from that ramp. ITS BAD. he said they had no plans to extend the ramp to his knowledge. Pray for rain!
