Fellas,
I will be staying down on the Arroyo the first weekend in Sept. The place we are staying at is about 3miles from the mouth. I'd like to find a spot to put a kayak in close to Horse Island/Rattlesnake Island. Any ideas for launch locations or I've actually heard of fisherman with their boats pulling kayaks to the mouth and shuttling them back. Thanks for the input.

The boat ramp at the far east end of Adolph Thomae County Park is the closest you can launch to the mouth of the Arroyo. Its is about 3 miles from that ramp to the mouth. If you have a boat to pull your kayak, that would help. How fast can you paddle?
