It's that time of the year when the bream will start bedding and be persued by us fly guys for fun and tablefare. Show us what your best bream flys are and how you like to work them This kind of small wooly booger is what I use the most because it will catch bass and trout as well. Typically in size 10 and below in black and olive. This picture is from http://www.globalflyfisher.com I didn't tie it but it looks just like the ones that I do tie.

The Briminator is a favorite of mine. Below is an image I found online, I did not tie this particular fly. Its tied with one piece of pheasant feather.

Petes Gurgle Pop is another fly I like to tie and use. Much cheaper than buying poppers at the store.

Robin,
Another question, if you don't mind...
Could you describe the technique you use to get those rubber legs exactly perpendicular? Mine always end up skewed somehow. Thanks.

Hey Artan, just one of those regionalisms is all. Bream=bluegill=perch=sunfish here in Texas and much of the south. I myself called them perch for much of my life but too many yankees were misunderstanding me. (they have a perch up north that is nothing like the bluegills which we call perch here)

I am going to start another thread with the Briminator recipe I have as well as one on the legs tying issue. Dont'want to hijack this thread.
