Got there at 7:00 and off the lake bout 12:30. Fished the timber around Hickey Island (our best spots) and was a total washout. I was the only crappie hunter at the island. Saw 3 guides chasing Sandies... My first 8 stops did not get a bump... Now that one I have not figured out yet...  Several throw backs but only 3 good keepers... 2 under the bridge.... One other boat under the bridge? ? ? ? ? ? Always next time....
Crappie fishing... what else is there ??

Keith,
I fished 6 brush piles in 20 ft along a creek up the Richland arm two days ago around 10:30 am - not a bite. Using jigs. Rare for us not to catch several. Fished last night under the 287 bridge with light and shad - only managed a dink crappie, 5 sandbass. Not what I expected.

I has been slow for me latly,but sat. I switched to afternoon & the bite was GREAT from 5 to 7:30 we had 40,It has not been that good in about 2 months,finally a normal summer pattern.out here in west texas
