Hey guys thanks for looking. I live near a lake that was almost dry 4 years ago. One flood and now full of water until the neighbor cities pump it dry for saint Augustine and golf courses. While it was low cedar/willow grew everywhere and I mean everywhere. Any tips for finding crappie? Been catching a few under a bridge in the heat of the day, water is 13-14 feet and catching fish at 6-7 there.

Can someone explain how the Feds count recreational Red Snapper catch?

The willows will be best for the first 60 days after submerged. Productivity will dimish some after that.

I love Oak Creek when it is full-used to fish at night a lot there with a green light and do well just west of the highway bridge near the old broken down bridge

Try slow trolling or pulling cranks on the outer edge of the growth.
Also, you might want to sink a deeper pile or two out past the growth in about 15 ft.

Bottom thanks for the ideas for trolling might try that along the creek channel. The lake was all but dry so the whole thing covered in cedar and willow to at least 30 feet. It seems it should be crappie paradise but finding them in all that has been a challenge for me. Trolling the channel might do it because it's one of the few places not grown up, I will give that a go.
