I fish in SouthWest Arkansas and we make a trip to Fork a couple of times a year as well, but I figured I'd try the Vanish line. It's snaps so easily, I was using 10 lb, moved up to 14 lb and it's still doing it.

Is there a braided line, or some other type of FC line I can use in clear water (10-15ft visibility) that isn't too visible in the water?

I've swapped to a braided line for night fishing the buzz baits, but have to find something else for the other lures. I'm mainly plastics/jigs fishing.

Thanks for any and all help!!

Berkley Trilene 100% floro is good and BPS Floro is good I have been trying the new Viscous Pro Elite floro and seems to be doing very good so far been using it for about 4 months now with no problems there fist floro was [censored] but the Pro Elite is way better and cheap compared to others.

I too will put the word in for Seaguar invisx. I spooled up 20# and I was impressed with the ease of casting with it.

I'll take a look into the Seaguar...what # test would you use in clear water?

Depends on what kind of structure you will be fishing. Since you said Fork I would figure at least 20#. I use 20 and 15 alot but I have missed two of the biggest fish in my life these past few months when I was using 15# because they both went into a tree and broke my line. I feel like I might have gotten one of them with 20#.

I'd look into some InvisX or AbraizX too. I get more bites on 8lb InvisX in clear water, naturally. But, if you're doing jigs and t-rigs I'd suggest 15lb minimum. That Seaguar line, even at 20lb is not going to drop your bites off a whole lot.

I like McCoy mean green. It's a low stretch, small diameter line, and it's tough. It also has a silicone coating that keeps the UV rays out, lubes your line guides as you fish, and lasts quite a while. I like it on spinning and casting equipment. Green is an excellent color for clear water.

Seaguar Invizx 20 lb. It helps to get a can of reel magic or KVD line conditioner, it really helps with line memory.

I've had good luck with BPS Flouro. I use 15 or 17 lb. I fish Greers Ferry some and this line seems to work okay. I've found that if you backlash and kink flouro, it will break where you kinked it. You also have to pay special attention to the knots you use.
