Are the bream bedding well on fork right now, or is the bream spawn over. This time last year, I tore them up at the dam when the bass bite got slow. Wouldn't mind catchin some gills when the bass aren't biting.

Bream will spawn every full moon until September. The next full moon is July 15. The location of the beds will depend on the lake level.

Good luck.

So far this year the spawn has had the Sunnies on fire here in South Texas and the Hill Country. Still seeing a few on beds. April and May have been great months for catching spawning fish. June as been fair. Should pick up in July as the full moon gets closer. Good luck.

I caught a bunch of red ear bream last weekend at Lake O the Pines on night crawlers in about 3' of water. They all had eggs yet to be deposited, I will also catch some more this weekend after I fry fish for 410 man.
