Just spent the last 11 days in Oregon visiting family and the grandkids. The first 4 days was spent on the Oregon coast where the whole family celebrated my dad's 90th birthday, and Father's day. The rest of the time was spent in Springfield, OR. where my daughter and her husband lives. Nice thing about the Springfield and Eugene area, the Mckenzie and the Willamatte Rivers are nearby.

I wish I could say that all the fish were caught on the fly rod but it was aboutt 50/50.

The son-in-law isn't into to fishing like I am, but fortunately for me his dad is. SIL's dad and I were able to do a couple of floats down the Mckenzie in his drift boat. The water in the river was high due to the amount of snow that had in Oregon this year. Darn the bad luck.LOL

The SIL's dad caught one Bull Trout, pretty nice size, which we released due to the fact it's on Oregon's endangered speices list.

OSHA tries to make the jobsite "idiot proof" then the employers go and hire the cheapest idiots they can find to prove OSHA wrong.

76 for a HIGH. Oh my. That is fantastic. I can handle to the lower 80's okay. After that I can't deal with it. Oregon has some beautiful countryside, and fishing spots.

The water has been up in Oregon since about January. Waaaay more snow than they are used to up there this year. Really messed up our work and my fishing.

Baby Huey, Glad you had a good time up there. I saw your post on the Oregon Fishing Forum. Wish the water levels were better for you. We sure did get the mountain snow this year.

I was planning on being in Texas around late September but things changed and we are down here in Lampasses right now. We have on fishing trip under our belt. The grandkids lead me to a bunch of blue gills the other day. They sure like dragonfly nymphs.

I wish we could get some of that excess water down here, these river like the Lampasses could sure use some.
