Maybe it was already caught by someone and it was released to the grease. I think it was the lake record bass for Bob Sandlin was caught and the guy who caught it was going to take it home and feed his family. You never know!

Don't forget about the 19 lber they found dead out there. It was estimated to be well over 20 live weight.
Set the hook first, ask questions later!!!

Dude, that was in 1988 when the lake was at it's peak.

Lake Amistad had a 15lber in 2005 and Falcon had one this year, which means THERE ARE 25LBERS IN IT. Cracks me up. 15lbers are huge fish no doubt, but 18-19-20? Not even in the same category. As far as I know, Falcon had a 15lber out of it 20 years ago and one in January? Falcon is the place to be right now, I hope to make it...but I have no pipe dreams about state records being caught. Has ONE fish in the top 50....and this boom has been going for quite some time.
This is a question with no answer, lakes peak and fall...with a record low water year on Fork that we may experience this year and a prolonged drought...could really boom things up when it refills. If we could get that hydrilla back like it was years back, it could be insane.

The genetics are there, sounds like a job for Hook and Look.

Well looks like Hook n' Look is out, this is the response I got from their Facebook page.
posted toHook n' Look Hello Hook n' Look, a good conversation was brought up in a Texas public fishing forum. "Are there any 20 pound bass in Fork"? I was wondering if ya'll have ever had your cameras in Lake fork or would you ever consider doing a show from there? 30 minutes ago LikeUnlike
* * * o Hook n' Look I don't believe Fork has the clarity we need. At the very minimum we need an honest 8-10 ft. of visibility. Amistad has the clarity we need! 3 minutes ago LikeUnlike o Blake Thanks I was wondering about the clarity. Enjoy your shows and thanks for the quick response. 2 seconds ago LikeUnlike * Write a comment...

How many 20+ fish have been caught in the last 10 years?(my guess is not many) The answer to this may help for this debate, at least with the catching a 20lber part and not the if there is one in the lake.

I had one on last week that would've went 19-20# that hit a jig. She came up and spit it right at the boat. I jumped in trying to grab her but she was too fast for me.
