The problem with all the bay system righ tnow is the excessive salinity...its keeping the dirt from settling.
We caught some sand trout, slimers, and death rays and finally headed out to "better" water.
Shrimp always works and is easy to keep around- there were 100s of thousands if not millions of mullet last week, so I'd stick to something like shrimp if you're not overly picky about what you catch.

Fished mosquito island today after work with a buddy of mine and didnt do too bad...we didnt limit out or anything, but the bite was constant...alot of sand trout, a couple of specs, and one 23" red...all were caught on live shrimp under a popping cork...the surprising thing was only 1 hardhead....they usually follow me EVERYWHERE, but not today...

rod and reel is wanted up and down the coast for "assault with a deadly weapon" on the hardhead community
