Hello Everyone, Planning on running down to Whitney this weekend and putting in at Uncle Gus's.Anyone been there lately? How's the water level? Also looking at leaving the boat in water overnight and wondering if they had overnight slips for rent. Thanks in Advance.GR

Went on Monday to the State Park and the boat ramps were closed because the water was too low,the dock to get in the boat when on the water is on dry ground and its about 25ft from the boat ramp

I was at Gus' on Sun., May 29th and boats were lauching there. The lake is down about 10' but you should not have a problem. Gus' has a dock where you can dock overnight for a charge. You might check their website for charges or give them a call at 254-622-3333.

I imagine it's fine, saw some boat trailers in the parking lot recently.. Mccowen is in good shape and is where I usually launch.

Gus's is open but low like the rest of the lake. Just be extra cautious.

One word-or 2- Juniper Cove, old boat ramp is fine, and cheaper to rent a slip.Lots of big fish on the north side of the lake also.Only thing wrong is, you might have to put up with catching a 4 or 5 lb. black bass or 2 !
May your wiener schnitzel always stay above your lederhosein.

It is on the road to the fishing pier( or what they call a pier on the map) stay straight and its on the little flat at the bottom of the hill. But no dock or slips
