Bought some 60lb braid for my pro qualifier reel to throw on my frog pole. The braid is so thick that my casting is limited severely. Is there any adjustments to help the braid less frictionless and increase casting distance and accuracy?

What kind of braid are you using? I throw Suffix and have no problems. You might spray some line conditioner on but as far as adjustment the only thing I do differiantly with braid is back-off the drag a bit and that doesn't effect casting.

I use 30# just for that reason. And even that seems a little too thick still. As tough as that stuff is, you could probably get away with less.

Using power pro 65# i can throw much farther than I can get a good hookset, I rarely throw the frog more than 20 yards away from me.

I use 50 to 65lb PowerPro and I can throw it just as far as anything else. KVD line conditioner does help, especially if you put a bit on your rod guides.

turn all your mag breaks off and use your thumb for casting controll. takes a few trips to get used to but once you get used to it you can skip it way under docks and trees and stuff where most people can't get to with a topwater bait. I use 50# power pro or spiderwire stealth and never have issues.
