I've just found out I will be fishing while the skeeter tourney is going at Lake Fork first weekend in June. One of my days will be before it starts and the other on the first day of the tourney. I've already got room booked, time off work, and my guide from Oklahoma booked. So what would you do? Just deal with it? Not sure how crowded lake will be, thanks for any in put

I'd pick a different lake personally. But I rarely fish Fork, I don't like the crowds.

We fished the Legend's tourney last weekend, and they had just under 1,000 entries and I dont think the entire 3 days we were on the water, we had more then 3 boats in the same area as us.

I would not change any plans that you have, and go have fun. The guide your with, will know places to get out of the traffic.

Just go out there and have fun. I went fun fishing after the Legends tourny Sunday and had a great day. Fork can handle the pressure better than most lakes. Trust your guide and his best judgement. thumb

I have a skeeter for sale. That would be a good thing.

Personally, I hate crowds that's why I fish Fork mainly at night. I'd reshedule but that's just me.

I want to go back to the part about your guide on fork being from Oklahoma. How does this work?

There will be a lot of boats for sure. Maybe your guide will let you borrow his boat the second day so that you can fish the tourny. lol

Fish. I fish recreationally only, not tournaments. The tournament at Fork in September is the only one I avoid (Big Bass Splash?). The rest of the time I fish. Fork's a big lake, able to accommodate lots of boats. Just adjust your expectations so you won't psych yourself out if you can't fish every spot solo.

It will be very crowded but you can still catch a lot of fish. If your guide is from OK then I bet he didn't know of the tournament either as most of the local guides will not be guiding that weekend.
